How do donations work?
Between 5% and 40% of each sale becomes a donation to your cause, routed through Our Change Foundation and paid out monthly.
Every sale in your +Shop generates a donation — anywhere from 5% to 40% of the purchase.
Where donations go
For each purchase, +Shop donates 5% or more to Our Change Foundation (OCF), a 501(c)(3) that serves as +Shop's partner Donor Advised Fund. OCF holds the funds securely and compliantly, then grants them to the designated cause — subject to eligibility and OCF's grantmaking policies. Details are in the +Shop Terms of Use.
Donation rates
When a shopper designates a nonprofit on their own, that cause receives the base 5%. Causes with a registered +Shop can earn substantially more — up to 40% of every sale.
Payout schedule
If you're a Shopkeeper raising funds for a cause, donation payouts are made during the second week of each month. You can also withdraw your funds anytime — there's no minimum threshold.
Are my supporters' purchases tax-deductible?
No. When a supporter buys from your +Shop, they're purchasing from a retailer — the donation itself is made by +Shop to OCF, not by the shopper. Choosing a cause at checkout is a grant recommendation to OCF, not a personal charitable contribution. See the +Shop Terms of Use.
